The self-titled EP ‘Aqurite’ was released in 2022 and immediately received great reactions. It is an introduction to Aqurite, who tries out different styles on this record.
Songs that have been coming for over ten years have been refined and perfected. The beautiful ballad ‘Life’ describes how life is not always kind to you, but that you always keep control. Sometimes you are blown in the other direction, but if you really want to, there is always a way to get back to where you are at home. Then it all starts with ‘Wall’, a nice blues song. The song is enhanced by guitar parts from Peter van der Tor. The song is easy on the ear, but for the attentive listener there is a deeper meaning. ‘Out of the Light’ is a sensitive song, on which the lyrics are accompanied by a piano and a bass guitar. ‘My Way Back Home’ provides a cheerful final note on the record and is a nice sing-along.

Lyrics
Life
And I hope you can see it too
Been counting down the days
Don’t be scared to change
Had some time to think it over
Too much time to be alone
You’re waiting for us to be together
But there are things that need to be done
Enjoy whatever gets you filled
And don’t you ever give up dreaming
Of the life you’re meant to live
Where you’ve always dreamed to be
Just hang on and I will show you
It will forever be you and me
Save yourself, but think of me
When I’m too far, think of me
Chase your dreams, but think of me
When it’s been too long, and you will see
Enjoy whatever gets you filled
And don’t you ever give up dreaming
Of the life you’re meant to live
And don’t you ever give up dreaming
Of the life you’re meant to live
Wall
To wash my blues away
Well I’ve been goin’ to the river
To wash my blues away
Put my hands back in my pocket
Come back the other day
Baby, baby, baby
Won’t you come back to stay
Baby, baby, baby
Won’t you come back to stay
I’ve said it all before, got nothing else to say
There’s so much to life I don’t know where to begin
Give me a sign, tell me what to do
Yes all I really want is to be with you
I keep on walking, walking to the sea
And I won’t stop walking, until you’re back with me
Got to keep on working, working every day
There’s so much to life I don’t know where to begin
Give me a sign, tell me what to do
Yes all I really want is to be with you
I got to walk some more
When I feel like crying
I got to walk some more
When my feet start hurtin’
You pull me back on the floor
Spinning ‘round my head
You keep on spinning
Spinning ‘round my head
It’s all because of you
I lie awake in my bed
There’s so much to life I don’t know where to begin
Give me a sign, tell me what to do
Yes all I really want is to be with you
Out of the Light
Put on that pretty dress
Just relax and get out of the way
Don’t step in the glass
The smell of gasoline and blood
Get your head straight, it’s not what it seems
Did you really think I forgot
You knew that you were here to stay
When the rain starts
And you stepped out of the light
Sing me another lullaby
Of growing up
And doing what’s right
For us
that you’ll be fine
Just some weeks of loneliness
until the stars align
Maybe a bit of both
The beauty over tragedy
Of watering a withered rose
You could’ve walked away
Without you, we wouldn’t be
Where we are today
You knew that you were here to stay
When the rain starts
And you stepped out of the light
Sing me another lullaby
Of growing up
And doing what’s right
For us
We’ve found ourselves a way
I hope you got yourself together now
You could’ve walked away
My Way Back Home
Because I know exactly what I’m doing’
But I was lying
And I think it worked
And the well is running dry
I think I fell asleep
Is this a dream
Or am I flying
In my yellow shirt
But I’m trying to find my way back home
Don’t forget me when the sun sets
Don’t you ever leave me here alone
Can’t you see the light is fading
Into darkness where no one went before
And then you see your heroes aging
And they tell you it’s time to let go
It happened once before
Where’s the light when you need it
I can’t take it anymore
It feels like monday
The worst is over now
I didn’t look at you
It’s worse than I expected
What more can I do
I’m tired of fighting
But still around somehow
But I’m trying to find my way back home
Don’t forget me when the sun sets
Don’t you ever leave me here alone
Can’t you see the light is fading
Into darkness where no one went before
And then you see your heroes aging
And they tell you it’s time to let go
But I’m trying to find my way back home
Don’t forget me when the sun sets
Don’t you ever leave me here alone
Can’t you see the light is fading
Into darkness where no one went before
And then you see your heroes aging
And they tell you it’s time to let go
