An acoustic sound, like Bruce Springsteen on The Ghost of Tom Joad and Gregory Alan Isakov on his earlier work. That was the inspiration for writing the EP A New Day. Songs with a message, but with a very thin musical support. The foundation of the songs are the acoustic guitar and the raw events of life.
This will not be a blistering story about emotions of a singer-songwriter. Aqurite believes that his listeners will find a meaning in the songs he makes and they do not need an explanation for that. The interpretation of lyrics is a personal phenomenon. We ask you to listen to the record and ask yourself which events in your life the songs relate to.

Lyrics
The Game
Turn around now
And look me in the eye
I know it’s over
But at least tell me why
Is there anything
Maybe something I can say
That can find youAnd perhaps make you stay
Look around you at all that we built
All these pictures of the love that we spilled
You’re gonna miss it
I know that I will
What you promised is what I swore
You closed the window, I opened the door for my heart
For my heart
Let me show you
Just one more time
You were perfect and I was just fine
I’m alright
Now I’m standing in the middle of our room and I know
It will never be the same
I’m hoping you’ll come back home
‘Cause I need you
To play the game
Without Me
Things come by and go away
When it’s time
Well I guess, if that is true
I’m gonna hold on tight to you
Because you’re mine
And birds will find a place to stay
Storm’s coming
I feel the rain, nowhere to hide
I start running
And you start feeling so alone
Without me
Then close your eyes and let it go
Think of how I love you so
And you’ll see
That everything is just the same
And it will never change again
I’m on my way
That I wasn’t by your side
I feel so blue
When I’m far away from home
I long for you
I can see the stars from here
And the moon’s bright
Hear your whisper in the blowing
And you start feeling so alone
Without me
Then close your eyes and let it go
Think of how I love you so
And you’ll see
That everything is just the same
And it will never change again
I’m on my way
A New Day
Open your eyes, boy
The day has begun
Holding my finger
And singing along
My little man
Flashing your smile
Please never change
And stop growing for a while
What was my life before
I don’t even know
You gave me so much more
The first time you showed me that I’m not alone
New to this world
So deep in my heart
And when I’m not home
I won’t be far
You got my hair and
You got mommy’s eyes
Quietly watching
How the time flies
What was my life before
I don’t even know
You gave me so much more
The first time you showed me that I’m not alone
And when you grow up
I know I’ll be proud
But there is a chance that
I won’t be around
Just know that I love you
It’s all I can do
My little man
I’ll be there for you
My little man
I’ll be there for you
Still Awake
I don’t know how much more I can take
Is this really you or am I reading it all wrong
We got to jump the hoops one by one
You gotta lay low when hoping for better days
Stay for a while
We almost had it
It’s such a shame
Did we miss a turn
I think that both of us got tired
Well, at least we learned
Can you tell me again how I came running over
From between the lines
I fell flat on my face
Gotta rest now
But I’m still awake
Is this what you earned
Did we throw the pictures in and watch them all burn
Did we drink it all and walk away
Is there anything left for us to say
You gotta lay low when hoping for better days
Stay for a while
We almost had it
It’s such a shame
Did we miss a turn
I think that both of us were tired
Well, at least we learned
Can you tell me again how I came running over
From between the lines
I fell flat on my face
Gotta rest now
But I’m still awake
Milk
The house is empty
And the bed is cold
Nobody listens to my songs
I’ll try to write another one
But this one’s just as sad
The bread is gone
And the milk has spoiled
I gotta get out there in the cold
Buy myself some love to hold
Feels like losing a friend
Today is the day I let the darkness in
Lonely eyes can see through walls of shame
It’s too late to thank my enemy
I know the words but I forgot my name
Forgot my name
It’s getting late, let’s go to bed
This is my last cigarette
Write it down so I won’t forget
And all the lies you’ve told
Shadows in the light of day
Are faster than my friend and me
‘Round the corner we’ll find some time
We’re getting old
Today is the day I let the darkness in
Lonely eyes can see through walls of shame
It’s too late to thank my enemy
I know the words but I forgot my name
Forgot my name
